Finding Your Summer Fragrance

Summer is in full swing and everything is lighter and brighter. Our natural sense of well-being has been renewed and winter wardrobes are long since tucked away. All that’s left to do now is to select a signature fragrance for the summer months!

“A person’s mood, vibe, and confidence are all overwhelmingly affected by the warmer months, just like they’re positively affected by a beautiful scent. A good fragrance is an invisible, magic accessory that makes the wearer feel instantly elevated and his or her company feel instantly attracted!” Says Zaweer Ebrahim from Playgirl Perfumed Body Care.

Here are five tips to assist in choosing your ideal summer fragrance:

1. What do you like

Do you enjoy the aroma of recently cut grass and the fresh air? Or are you the one who favours floral, earthy, and blooming fragrances? You must decide on which notes you prefer and then look for those in fragrances that you sample.

2. Hit the right notes

On warm days, people prefer floral, beachy, and exotic aromas over darker notes like leather and velvet. Try searching for scents that are uplifting, soothing, and relaxing. Look for scents formulated using floral and/or citrus: Orange blossom, mandarin, and grapefruit are common notes in perfumes.

3. Go outside

A scent often translates very differently in the heat, so after you’ve sampled a scent instore, take a walk and let the fragrance intermingle with your skin. After a couple minutes, take another whiff and make sure you’re 100% satisfied.

4. Summer nights

In contrast to the light, floral scent you have selected for day time endeavours, you’ll need something a little stronger for your evening adventures. Take a look at the Playgirl range, specifically Playgirl VIP London Glam, which is underpinned by sandalwood and creamy vanilla, it is the perfect fragrance for anything from a dinner out to an exclusive red-carpet event. For the men, Playboy VIP New York with its citrus elements is edgy and on-trend.

5. Create a cloud

Natural summer garments like cotton, and linen can be excellent scent conductors. When it’s hot outside, try spritzing some fragrance so that it lands gently on your clothing. Spray into the air, then move through the fragrant cloud for the best effect.
